quakin'.

The one thing I will never warm to about California is earthquakes. Everyone must draw a line somewhere, and that is where mine is firm.

Some of my friends live down in the Mt. View/ Cupertino/ San Jose area, and they undoubtedly felt it worse, as there were reports of stuff coming off the walls. A 5.6!!!

CHRIST. I don't even know what I would do if that happened here, because I'll admit it, this earthquake today, which brought nothing off any of my walls, had me cowering under my desk. I'll admit it. I don't know what I would do, but my guess is that eventually I may have to find out. I reserve full rights to screaming like a girl, cowering, swearing to move out of the state, and quickly learning to pray despite usually being somewhat of an agnostic.

Hey there! Found your blog through nablopomo. I was in Sunnyvale when the quake happened (driving on the highway) and felt absolutely nothing! Of course, I started wondering when I saw people leaving buildings in a hurry and all that ... and then someone told me everything. Go figure!
